eastatlanta asked: Yo, update this shit.
And here I am with the super late response. Guess I should update it, haha.
I want to live life as beautifully as I see it in my favorite works of art and to channel my creativity into everything that I do in order to create works of my own. I want those works to make people cry and smile at the same time. More than that, I want to love people and to help them with whatever I can, especially if it involves finding or pursuing their true purpose in life. I want to travel… to be as mobile as I can be and to have adventures everywhere that I go. I want to grow and create new bonds on these adventures while strengthening old ones. I want to collect meaningful mementos to always remind me of where I’ve been. I want a job that allows for all of this and to keep that job as separate as possible from my home life, so that I can always do the things I love and spend time with the people I love. I want to experience life without fear and to become comfortable with the person that I am, so that ultimately, I live and die happily.
I don’t know what it is about spring air, but my body seems to think that if I inhale it, spores will attach themselves to the inside of my lungs and trachea, killing me by internal asphyxiation. Now, I don’t know much about biology, but I’m sure pretty sure that won’t happen. Still, I sneeze and sneeze and sneeze and wonder how I manage to exhale more than I inhale.
"Seniority when it comes to teaching has some degree of importance. Surely a teacher with more experience may better understand effective teaching techniques, but to assume that this is always true is folly. Beyond that, the implied assumption that a less experienced teacher is automatically less qualified is unfair to that teacher. Some may argue that those assumptions aren’t true, but that is the message that is sent when the only way to receive a raise in the field of education is to get a different job, get a higher degree, or merely exist longer."

"Inspiration is a deadly drug. There is no withdrawal process, but there is certainly withdrawal. It happens to every writer, every poet, every musician, and every artist. If creativity is even remotely related to your job description, then chances are, you have a dealer, and that dealer is a douchebag who likes to make you beg. He’s the kind of person who’ll pull you dangerously close to deadlines before delivering miniscule doses of your favorite poison. Over time, you crave more but you settle for less; the one source of your income becomes the biggest drain, and the love of your life turns into a monster, unrecognizable in all facets."

"A man without fear is not courageous. He is stupid. Real courage is overcoming the fear that lives in all of us."

"Hipsters aren’t actual trendsetters. If they did something first, they wouldn’t be easily understood by everyone, thus separating them from much coveted love and affection for… well, for liking someone else’s creativity. It isn’t hard to be a hipster. All you have to do is jump on bandwagons quickly… or at least moderately faster than slowly."
